Interview with Liisa - soloist band Strul.

The group Strul (wind in Swedish) was formed in the 2002nd year, the official date of establishment is considered to be 20 February. At one of the parties soloist Lisa and guitarist Paul met, talked, and then took up the guitar. Wrote a couple of quatrain about attending the party, they parted.... After few months they saw each other again and have been starting work together. After that, they has found and other musicians. Here it can be considered the founding group. Long process of rehearsals was beginning…
«We had a bit unusual rehearsal base. It was located in the attic, the private homes of Paul. ... One-fourth roof was glass. This is a huge window with a convenient window sill, where always stood cups, bottles, sheets with text and music ... On the floor laid a beautiful carpet. We have rehearsing only barefoot, it was muddle team »- describes rehearsal base soloist. Even is difficult to call this place the base, it was cozy den.
«The time, when we have just met, was the best, and I will never forget his charm, - remembers Lisa. – We had to work on more than one job to find money for tools and equipment ... Every evening we have been meeting and debating material and sound... Then we were like family, and gradually the house filled our dishes, toothbrushes, clothes, CDs» So lasted year…
The first exit on the public was held in the 2003 year. They played 5 songs in a small private club-based. Then they were regular participant’s concerts
In 2004, they offered to work in Prague. All were lyric, no tales of Cinderella, they were invited the grandmother of one of the band ... They moved there and happiest time started: clubs, local festivals, good rehearsal base. And the most importantly for them: no studio and commercial work, a maximum of naturalness.
«We almost didn’t appear to after-party, and often immediately after the concert we went home or in a small restaurant». They leaved a sense of mystery and puzzles...
But the tale end of the evening of 2nd January 2008, after the last concert. The decision was unanimous. The reasons? The reasons were many, but the basic - it is understood by each of them that they have all said within the group and stay better "on time" than prey ears of listeners squeezed works. Another reason - is that by the time the dissolution of all were family, the three of them children, so time is not enough, money too, but at the expense of close people also don’t want to work ...
This group can be considered unique, despite of: the successful presentations and permanent audience, they have never recorded a disc. They left at the right time. One of the few teams, which don’t worry about commercial success, money or fame. They only delight in self-expression and freedom of flight thoughts and feelings. Probably only then poems still sincere and music - fascinating. How unfortunate that those groups are fewer and fewer, and they won’t survive in a "pool with sharks of commercial music". The warmth of soul and sincere feelings is what you want to hear the music ... and that aren’t enough.
